ibis Melbourne Central

So, both rooms I was in (see the cons) during my stay were well presented, have good views, and were the standard I would expect of an Ibis hotel. I was very impressed. The check-in was relatively easy, with myself and the young lady (name escapes me) behind the counter turned out to be from England too (Newcastle to be precise), so we had a little chat about back home.

Excellent central location, close to many restaurants, cafes and shops, and great value for money. Room was very clean and comfortable and had everything that I needed. Very comfortable bed and the room service meal that I ordered on my last night was tasty and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed my stay!

Room was very quiet and private. No noise from other rooms. So close/location to everything we needed. James the Concerige was fantastic and always greeted us when got out of the lift and when we got back from our day out and we had a little chat.. He is an asset to your hotel. The buffet breakfast is also good value.

It is very central and it is a short walk from the trams. The bedroom, whilst compact was very comfortable. The shower and toilet are located in a small seoi room with a large hand basin next to this room in the bedroom. Adequate wardrobe space and a very comfortable bed. I paid extra for breakfast and there was a good selection of both hot and cold food available. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit selection There was an issue when I checked in since they could not trace my booking. The clerk was most apologetic and went away to sort the issue out which she did so promptly and efficiently. I was particularly impressed that she remembered me when I checked out 4 days later and once again, was very efficient

The whole experience was outstanding. I made a stupid mistake with the booking, I was meant to check in on 18/06, but somehow booked it on 17/06, it was a non-cancellable booking, I didn't have any expectations that they would change it for me, but thought that I would ask, and they did!!!! The welcome we received from the concierge was fantastic, and check in process was smooth. The room was perfect with the usage of the space, I couldn't fault anything. We asked for extra pillows, coffee and milk, all was delivered within 5 mins from making the requests. Check out process was even smoother, and we left the luggage with concierge for a few hours while we explored the CBD. It made our trip super easy, and we would stay again. Location is super convenient!
